Care Giver Boom No More

caregivingThe economic crisis that has circled the world has hit hard on the previously boom industry of care giving. Most developed countries have either stopped issuing visas to such professionals or even go as far as sending existing ones home reserving jobs for their own citizens. Most developed countries rely on migrant or working visa issued health professionals from overseas to handle the care giving industry, with most Western countries providing much employment. Most developing countries like those from Asia supply some of the world’s best caregivers due to strong family ties and good communication skills have been severely affected by the acute shortage of jobs for their upcoming caregivers who are yet to be sent for their promised jobs.
With the global economy slowing, demand is there but they have been designated for citizens who have lost jobs due to the severe economic conditions. Countries like the Philippines which supplies most of the best caregivers are suffering from the fall of the boom industry, losing millions of dollars in revenues from dollars sent home by their citizens working abroad. Life is getting harder day by day, and people who have been studying for such careers have no where else to go but stay at home, to fight for the very few positions available for their skills and accreditation.
